CERAMICS CLUB at the Kids Academy of Ateliers Westerdok

For the 8-15 year olds we offer the Ceramics Club. Here you work with clay and plaster to maken 3-dimensional works.

You discover in a playful way how to build your forms, how to deal with textures to give your work more expression and how to make 3 dimensional work with different materials. Works of clay can be fired in a special ceramics oven and eventually be glazed.

During the lessons you’ll also look at the work of artists – this will give you lots of ideas. Sometimes you’ll work on a short assignment, but there are also projects on which you’ll spend a longer period of time. Every season there are other lessons and other techniques, so you can work on your creativity for several years at the Children's Academy.

Before the Christmas break and summer vacation starts, all children of the lessons of the Kids Academy will show their works in a presentation for their parents, family and friends.

A professional art teacher will teach you.

No lessons during school holidays. You can first follow a trial class. The lessons are on Wednesday from 14.30-16.30
