Harp Hoogland

The harp is one of the oldest stringed instruments in existence. You can start harp lessons from the age of six. For the first few years, lessons are taught in small groups (if possible). With daily practice and positive attention from the parents, children learn quickly.

Why should you choose harp?

● Because there are relatively few people who play the harp, so you are quite special;

● you don't have to use all your fingers when playing the harp; your pinkies don't count;

● after a few lessons you can already play some nice pieces; so you will see results quickly;

● thanks to harpists such as Remy van Kesteren and Lavinia Meijer, the harp is hot again!;

● and, the most important Dutch music prize is named after the harp: the Buma Gouden Harp, an oeuvre prize for a person who has meant a lot to Dutch music.

We also have courses for advanced harpists; our teachers can still teach you enough!
